Ways to Give
It’s easy to support Hillel Council and to immediately help students across our campuses. We are grateful for contributions of any size. Exciting news! As of January 2023, every charitable donation made in Massachusetts can be deducted from your state income tax return.

Donor-Advised Fund
The donor-advised fund (DAF) is becoming an increasingly popular way to make a charitable gift. DAFs can provide you with immediate tax benefits while making your charitable giving easier. Here are two simple ways you can make a gift through your DAF:
Make an outright gift by suggesting a grant to Hillel Council of New England (HCNE).
Designate HCNE to receive all or a portion of the fund value upon the termination of the fund.
You can select the option that best suits your philanthropic and financial goals to support HCNE. Just contact your fund administrator to request a distribution or beneficiary form or download the appropriate form(s) from your administrator’s website.
When making a DAF gift to HCNE, please provide the following information to your administrator:
Hillel Council of New England
202 Washington Street, Ste. 343
Brookline, MA 02445
Tax ID# 04-2688997
IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution
Maximize your charitable giving while minimizing your taxable income. An IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution (IRA QCD) is a rewarding and easy option for donors age 70.5 and older.
Once you reach the age of 70.5, the IRS allows you to donate up to $100,000 per year, tax-free, directly from your IRA to charitable organizations of your choice. If your spouse is also 70.5 years old or older, and has a separate IRA, you each may contribute up to $100,000. The amount of the IRA QCD is limited to the amount of the distribution that would otherwise be included in income.
Please contact your IRA plan administrator to start the distribution process. When they’re ready to send your contribution, they can set up an ACH transfer or make the check payable to “HCNE” and mail to:
Hillel Council of New England
202 Washington Street, Ste. 343
Brookline, MA 02445
Please contact us at info@hillelcouncil.org or by phone at 617-928-1488 for or assistance in setting up a distribution.
