Temple Ohabei Shalom, a Reform synagogue in Brookline, MA, is searching for religious school assistant teachers on Tuesday afternoons from 3:15-5:45 pm, September 2023 – May 2024. Pay for college students starts at $40/hour. Camp, babysitting, or teaching experience is great – but we’ll train you even if you are new to the field! Hebrew knowledge a plus. We are located just outside of Coolidge Corner and T accessible (green C line). Positions available in K, 2nd, and 3rdgrade. No Sunday mornings! Temple Shalom of Newton, is a dynamic Reform synagogue in Newton, Massachusetts. At Temple Shalom we are dedicated to providing an exceptional supplementary Jewish Education program that fosters a strong connection to Jewish values, traditions, and history. Our mission is to empower our students with a solid foundation of knowledge while igniting their love for Judaism through immersive and interactive project based learning experiences. 

We are currently seeking outstanding teachers to join our program and help shape the future leaders of our community. Our goal is for teachers to connect with their students and help their students connect to being Jewish in order to foster community at the synagogue.You will work closely with the Learning & Engagement team to adapt provided lessons and curriculum to fit your teaching style and the needs / interests of your students.

We are currently searching for teachers for our K-7 Jewish Living and Learning Program.  In particular, we are looking for staff with interest or a background in working with children with special and diverse learning needs. Staff must also have a connection to Judaism.
